Our company specializes in building affordable Custom Homes, built
to your specifications, with some of Ron’s 40 years of experience
thrown in.
We have a full list of local Prescott area subcontractors that we use on a regular
basis. We don’t jump around looking for the cheapest price, but a
competitive price with the highest quality. All of our
subcontractors have a proven track record with us and in the
surrounding community.
Design work is an integral part of Bates Builders’ services. We work
with local Prescott area architects and draftsmen to come up with a design that
best fits you. It is also part of Ron’s practice to meet with you on
your property and situate the home for optimal service and drainage.
We have a close relationship with one of the local Prescott area stone companies
and have first hand knowledge of what looks and styles are available
for whatever you may have in mind to dress your new home up. From
fireplaces, to veneers or countertops, bathroom vanities, or many
varieties of flooring we have the knowledge of what is available.
If you are going to build in the Prescott area you know that the winters can
be cold. Energy efficiency is a must. You don’t want a contractor
that is going to cut corners with your exterior walls, even in your
garage. At Bates Builders we always use 2 x 6 exterior walls and
insulate everything. We also pay close attention to the interior
walls and insulate for sound at the proper locations.
Overhangs at the eves is also important to us. We typically use a 24
inch overhang to give shade in the summer, protection in the winter,
and curb appeal for resale if you so desire. We also soffit, or
“box” the overhangs for easy maintenance and to keep the critters
out.
In the end result we like to have the best, longest lasting home
that a customer can afford. And if something should go wrong, we are
only a phone call away. Bates Builders prides itself on customer
service before, during, and after construction.
